On the surface and on first impression only, this is a beautiful photograph. Is that white stuff the sand? It almost looks like snow from this distance.
However, as indicated by your "About" and the comments posted by Aussies and Kiwis on this page, this image has a lot more to it than meets the eye, because of the tragic history attached to it.
I was wondering how people in Turkey feel about that conflict and about what happened in this place.
