About Ok, wasn't gonna put this one up but since Carlheinz and Hashim enjoy my concert shots here's one more Zep live at the Forum. I believe this was the opening song "The Song Remains the Same" (and it does. All around the world - if only King George could figure out people want the same things and leave them alone) This is one of the best guitarists in the world (still), Jimmy Page, with his famous double neck SG Gibson (also used on the live performances of "Stairway") Scanned of a 3 x 5 or something print - neg would look better but I'm too lazy to find it - so pretend. Used 400 neg film pushed to 3200 iso. Also, Dedicated to the embarassing Performance of Paul McCartney's yesterday at the stupid Super Bowl half time show as he ran through some great songs like a human juke box on too much coffee for all the idiots in the crowd. Sir Paul, you're worth a 1/4 of a billion dollars or something, have you no shame? What's this world coming too? He did smoke a ton of pot in the past, didn't he?Like a ton, Right? No PS used (obviously) Enjoy - Sing out Hari Hari, dance the hoochie coo, city lights, are all so bright...........

Bring 'em on, man! I enjoy every single shot of them. It's so sad and painful to see what kinda soul food (or can I say crap without getting arrested) the record companies through out today. It's so hard to find anything new and exciting, and all the time when I see a band back from the old days I could cry for mercy.
You're a lucky guy because you were not just a victum but also lucky enough to have that on film. Nice shot of one of the best guitar player of all times.
ENVY!

Yeah, I think you were. In fact didn't the Zep do "I'm a Little Tea Pot" in your honor when they played Detroit? That (and the mudshark) rumour were floating around everywhere at that time (but the Mudshark Thing happened in Seattle way before 77)........

I think this is great....I dig his "lean"..and placement...makes for a great comp...also dig the high contrast. Was I alive when this was taken..?...ahh yes I think I was 3 or 4....

Dear Andreas and Marcus, Thanks , this isn't my favorite (i think the better 5 are futher back) but some people like them. Having seen them many times and 100 bootlegs it went like this on the opening song (on the American tours) !970 -72 "Immigrant Song", 73 and I think 75 "Rock and Roll" 77 "Song..." and Europe 80 "Train Kept a Rollin'" Hope I have that right. pretty sure. Thanks again, Mark

Ok,

this is by no means a perfect shot... it lacks contrast and sharpness, I feel. Colour is also a bit dull.

But who cares...It is a time document. And even more... it wakes up many emotions for all of us who loved Zep. Who still love the remarkable work of Mr. Page (just have a look at the records together with Plant).

This was a somewhat honest group - no more Led Zeppelin after Bonhams dead. I mean - look at The Who, even Ray Mnzarec from The Doors is trying to get some money out of that legend name.
So apart from their incrdible music they also need reward for preserving the legend.

( I thought that Rock&Roll was the opener= Might just be my memory..)
