I see now why you shot it from this angle. There really is something about this that is very appealing. I love the warm glow of the lamp above her in particular. Perhaps pack some trimming shears next time? :-) Looks less green on my not calibrated laptop monitor for some reason.

I think my display, being set for the lab's color, is giving us different looks. Your sample is quite warm with a magenta cast. I had colorized the original with a blueish tone and then faded that back slightly and then brought back more of the color on the figure and lamp to give a warm/cool contrast. As for the tree, it was large and right there. To move it out further would have given me an angle I wasn't looking for in relation to the door/light/figure. I do have one from the right more but it's a longer view with a different feel to it. I'll post it here next.
Trying some different things in regards to color etc.

I've been looking at the image for a while. I guess I like it. Is it envy. Even though she's surronded by hard rock she seems to be in heave. Maybe I envy her.

I do like the mood of this. But find the green shift a little cool. I love the architecture and the composition. Although I wonder if it would be simpler if you took a step or two right to eliminate the big tree. I love that the door is open...leading us to believe she is not alone.

Robert - I love the dreamy effect of this shot. The open door and the stone work are very nice. -- Debby
