I know about the monitor calibrators.
I am using a work laptop and the LCD screen, that is now about 2 generations behind current top standards, seems to have reasonable colour balance after a manual colour calibration but it does seem to compress the blacks and whites a bit and has nowhere near the range of my normal 19" CRT

I looks superb to me Brad, a very beautiful portrait indeed :-)
Sometimes the colours you see on the camera and monitor (in this case laptop monitor) can vary quite a lot. I have seen these devices for sale that calibrate the monitors so when you are editing using PS then the toning you get on your "calibrated" screen and printer are exactly the same.
Best wishes, Steve

The colors look a bit flat to me. Either that or the contrast level is low. Beautiful model.

just trying to get the image natural looking wihout colour casts. seems that the basic calibration might have done the trick

Brad, the laptop did a fine job, in my opinion, the colors and exposure turned out fine. Don't know if the color is what you wanted, but it is very pleasing and a nice portrait as well, CAry
