About
The Federation style is a home grown fusion of Art Nuevo as well as the late 19th century / early 20th century experiments in functionalist and arts/crafts elements in architecture. This style is most common in Melbourne's bayside suburb of St Kilda. Here the native baksia - named after Joseph Banks has been applied as a decorative element.
Sean - I had no idea there was a Federation Style! Thanks for adding to my fund of world-knowledge. I'd love to see some more illustrations, if you have any... Beautiful colors... Lots of possibilities with this kind of architecture around. Amy
Hi Sean. Beautiful color saturation and great DOF on these architectural details. Thanks for the about, too. One of my favorite aspects of Usefilm is the education. Was this taken at eye level or were you standing on something? Best wishes, Kurt
