warranty issue, a couple of dead pixels on the sensor, every shot had a bright red and a bright blue dot in the middle of the shot. not costing me a cent fortunately.

all is ok alison. its a warranty repair... have a bright red dead pixel bang smack in the middle of each photo i take. i think they are just replacing the image sensor for me. thanks for the comment and concern.
