Very captivating image. I like the different tones here, the sun light feels that it's shooting straigh up vertically instead of in a fan-like way as traditionaly seen in sunsets. The plane breaks the monotony of a cloudless sky. Really a great capture, excellent job -- Kind regards, Rafael
PS, I have a picture with the same title :) :) hehe, but very very very differnt...

Hi Christian, there are more or less three things in this photo that grab my attention. Obviously the plane is one of them (although its a pitty you revealed that; I would've loved to believe that this was a shooting star).
Secondly, it's the tone in the sky. Where one would expect a gradient from deep blue to black, it seems to be ranging from yellow to purple. Not sure if this is my monitor setting or the result of citylights beyond the treeline.
And last, continuing on the feeling that there is a city beyond the treeline, there is the skylight beaming upward into the void.
All in all a very good shot and a well balanced compsition. Interesting; one would think that with three primary points of attention, at least one would become redundant; this is not the case here, probably because they all fit so well together.
Cheers,
Hugo

J'aime beaucoup cette photo Christian. Ce jeu de limières tout en finesse et en "croisement" lui donne une douceur qu'on trouve rarement..C'est une image poétique pour moi. Bravo Fabrice

Beautiful colors, nice capture. The plane was probably an american SR-71 Blackbird photographing clandestine Canadian weapons of mass destruction manufacturing facilities.

I like that streak of light coming up from behind the trees reaching for the sky. Great capture Christian. You must carry that camera everywhere. Don.
