I'm new to the slr world so I really don't have anything to compare the 18-55 lens to but I would say its a very functional lens. I used 1600 because I shot this in my apartment at night with one lamp on. The shot is so blurry cause its out of focus, not because of camera shake, but because I just didn't get the cards in focus. F-stop was 5.6.

Maybe you could tell us F-stop you used???
An please how do you rate that kit 18-55mm EFS Canon lens? I'm considering on buying 300D, and few lenses. Ofcourse EFS 18-55mm is atop of my list because of it's 100 euro price.
thanks upfront.
Oh and something else, why did you use that high ISO value? And how did the image got so blurry if it was shot at ISO 1600???

Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate people who not only take the time to look at something but also make a criticism and suggest how a photo can be better.

Wouldn't that be a nice hand? :)
I agree with Mattias Eklund though... you might want to try this again and get one point of focus...
