Great, Lori. I've been working in the CA/AZ/NV desert so much in the past 6 months and I just haven't taken the time to explore its beauty. I will have to focus on that a little more.

Thanks for your nice comment! Pleased you liked this one. I enjoy the different 'faces' of the deserts. But I REALLY would like to photograph some dunes.......I recall you had some very nice dunes images. I find them so fascinating.

Hi Lori, this truely is a wonderful shot. Eventhough I usually like a separation between foreground and background, the wide DOF does create a very strong unity within this shot, which fits the atmosphere very well. Excellent composition, no other words for it...;o) The separation is still tangible (only less dominantly) by the distance cue and the cooler blue tone in the mountains. Very subtle, but definately beautiful.

I like the contrasting colors of the foreground flowers and background scene. A classic shot... very well done, as usually.
