It was windy day on the south Devon coast. I noticed a single surfer riding the waves. I deliberatley shot into the sun to maximum the lighting contrast and silhouette the surfer with the sea and cliff tops behind.
Jeff, main correction in yours shot - lowering of colour temperature. Yours image is too "blue". I've made this using special plug-in for PS from The Imaging Factory. * * * Hue/saturation mean PhotoShop Image->Adjusments->Hue/Saturation option. There was too much Cyan colour on yours shot. * * * I've tried various software for treatment of digital foto, but prefer PhotoShop. And there are a lot of good books devoted to it. * * * I'd be very glad to see yours interpretations of my shots:)
Serge - thanks for taking time to comment on my picture - fairly new to the art of digital photo manipulation - could you explain what you mean by WB and hue/saturation. I am currently using the Roxio photosuite 5 for editing purposes. Thanks Jeff - PS some lovely landscape photgraphs on your site - I will explore them for some inspiration.
