Often in a photo it's hard to tell whether the water is frozen or not, but you got just the right angle and lighting here to show it perfectly. Beautiful job.

thank you Arthur, I like this lens also and it's true it is at its best at f/8-f/11, quite okay for wide angle shot and light.
though I sometimes find it not practical, because most of my shots are landscape/nature shots, so either I need lens wider (doh, I hope I can buy one of those wide angle lenses 12-24mm or 10mm - my resolution for 2005  ), or tele lens. so I mostly use my 28-300mm, good range, practical for travelling.

Very nice shot Cessy. Frozen leaves, reflections, colours and texture are beautiful. A lot of people say the 18-55 is not a very good lens. They should see your picture. I have that lens too and I like it very much for the price. I find it performs best at f8-f11. Regards, Art.
