About I know, I know, this is not up to my usual "Masterpiece" quality / style but it's "Jerk Night" in the USA (New Years Eve) and my neighbors are blownin' off more fireworks than the "Shock and Awe" attack on Iraq - Damn. why don't they just send the money that they waste on all this pyro crap to help the poor people in South Asia after the massive tragedy? Anyway, I ran into this nice girl on the train traveling through Italy a few years ago. When we met for dinner a few days later she surprisingly brought along her very obnoxious, part time boyfriend, the guy was a big mouth, super opinionated jerk. Here he is with a few beers (or more) in him and his "Mykonos' tan (he wouldn't stop talking about how they were just in Greece - obnoxios PLUS.) This was caught in a little fake out moment were he was gonna kick my butt cause I said something bad about his shirt. Model's face blocked out for legal reason. Shot at "Monkey Business" restaurant (no longer there I believe) No PS used.

My Dearest PP, "Masterpiece is a JOKE - get it (no, I know you don't - that's alright). I never mentioned the word EGO in my comments so where'd that word come from? ...and you're pulling what off? T & A shots? that's about as hard as boiling water....Bravo, let's all give Patrick a standing ovation.

Sorry but "masterpiece" is a strong word.

Who said MY ego was big? At least I can pull it off, dude.

Hey! You scared the crap out of me. I thought you were the guy with the tasty shirt...:-)

I enjoy your images and I love your stories. His tan and the shirt really rocks hard and I feel sorry for the lady. She doesn't look that happy.

I did like your story, it is interesting and you do find every where those people. Am glad how the works is going on for the aid to that Asian country in need after the disaster. Happy New Year. Saeed

Oh my GOD!He is so...stupid, your words show your disappointment and I sympathize with you.By the way, there are some people in Greece ( including me) who hate this Mykonos style....I hope he had the brains to send some money to the poor people...oh 7!!!!!!

Dear Ashley, 4 months to put in a pool? ! Wow. Why didn't they just get one of those prefab ones they drop in a pre-dug hole? I was looking into those a few years ago on the internet - suppose to be nothing to it plus the price is about half.(ended up making a deal with my other neighbor who never uses his (I pitch in a tiny bit) Ya, I'm very glad people from everywhere (and Governments) are donating so much money for the Asian Tsunamis disaster. It's nice to see positive things like that (and GREAT that USEFILM has it twice on their home page). Happy 2005 to you, Karl, and family. Mark PS Thanks Linn, A good 2005 to you too. take care, Mark

His shirt is quite horrible. I had a lot of fireworks go off in my neighborhood last night too. The same neighbors who have tiki torches in their backyard. And who just put in a pool...BLOCKING THE ROAD FOR EVERYONE ELSE FOR FOUR MONTHS! *sigh* I guess there's a few in every neighborhood. And, actually, people are sending a lot of money to Asia. I'm really proud of my country when it sends 150 million dollars worth of aid. It makes me smile. And the model kinda reminds me of Julia Roberts.

LOVED your "about" and the title is most applicable. Mark, thanks for sharing this very funny story. The model reminds me of Julia Roberts.
Have a great 2005!

Too funny to even imagine :-) and yes, such a statement will halt the biggest loud-mouth and make him wonder how the heck he could top it! :-))

Dear Kris, I ask myself the same question but Paul DOES have a point.... It's just ONE shot that's a bit different than the rest of my work. Maybe the pyro's got to me last night or something.... Happy 2005 !

Sometimes, Kris, it's about the story behind the photo. I really wish more Usefilm people WOULD spend a moment to explain why they snapped the shutter when they did; was it colors or angles that caught your eye, or did you just want to remember this moment?

...but that's just me.

My same sentiments about last night's massive pyro event in our neighborhood, Mark.

Yeah, the game I like to play with jerks like this is just bring up the most obscure subect I can...say, snorkeling with the swimming rhinos off the coast of Africa, and then lean back and have him 'best' that. Great fun. :)

I'm not sure why you are posting this photo on a site dedicated to improving photographic skills and sharing interesting work?
