About I bought these for my wife and just had to make some photographs. It was about 7:15 in the evening after the sun had set, so I had to use a long exposure.

Arthur, The colors are striking in this shot. I too have bought flowers and then photographed them - I just could not stand to just see their beauty without capturing it. Cheers. Sam

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. You have really inspired me to do more, and you have given me new ideas on how to look at my images and how I present them. Take care!

I like everything about this image. Outstanding colors and I like the crop as is. I like to leave something to wonder about in a photo, I don't like everything said and done. To go out on the tips of the right petals would have cost you on the left side and center detail. I wouldn't want to touch that.

I kind of agree with Detlef on the framing, but don't mind the crop too much. It's a beautiful picture, and would be either way. Well done.

Beautiful. I like the tight crop on this as well but what really makes the picture for me is the wide range of colours.
