Thanks for the comments Chris, always much appreciated. Im a real late starter with film, only taking it up about 6-12 months ago. I've always liked black and white and never quite got the results I wanted with digital so decided to invest in a cheap film body etc. One thing and another from a 1000 FN to an eos 1N and I may end up buying either an eos 3 or eos 1V.
For ease of use and great results, I use digital. However, Im enjoying more and more using film. I shot my first roll of Velvia on boxing day and Im very hopeful they will come out ok :)
I would also like either an eos 1ds MKII or a medium format but again, money is an issue and my wife would divorce me if I bought one of them LOL.
Have a great New Year.
Howie

Terrific. You seem to be using film and digital together really nicely. I find I tend to use film for wideangle shots as I can't quite finance an EOS 1DS yet. About to get a medium format camera of some kind though just looking for the right deal secondhand at the moment.

The tones of the rocks are absolutely superb.. and you catched it perfectly Howie. The composition with the waterfall in the background , the way you managed the tones.. this a real beautiful work Howie.. Cheers Fabrice

Thanks for the comment as always Melanie. I feel I'm quite lucky living in Tywyn. Im just on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, which is the largest National Park in Wales. Also, living in one of the most rural parts of this country I can get to pretty much desolate welsh landscapes within an hours drive at most. I havn't done Snowdon yet and thats about an hour and a halfs drive so will try to make it there while I am off work.
I've just sent off a film of Velvia for developing and that was one of the best places I've managed to take landscapes. Hope they come out half as good as I hoped. Will post some of the results when they come back :)
Have a great New Year,
Hugs

So beautiful! I like the how the rocks frame the waterfall. Do you live near all of this beautiful scenery you have been posting?
