White clothing is very challenging in low light situations, because it gets blown out or glows, like it is a little bit here. It also tries to steal the show. That said, I love the portrait. Her pose is relaxed and the overall tones in the surroundings compliment her. She won out over the white. :)

Body position is good, nice s-curve going. Hand pose and position is good. Nice head tilt. Overall a good photo. Paul gave you good advice about the blownout shirt - that is the only problem with the photo.
Was the original blown out? Or was this done in photoshop? I found (the hard way) that if the photoshop tools (curves and levels) are not set up right, you WILL blow out the highlights.

Actually, Photoshop will not help you with blown-out whites, Mike. Something to consider when shooting digital is to intentionally UNDERexpose by 1/2 to 1 full stop, and then adjust the levels in Photoshop to bring the overall brightness back up.

Thanks Paul.
You're right and I saw the same. I'm not any good with Photoshop so sometimes I have to live with blown out whites...
Thanks again for the comment.

A little blown-out on the shirt, but a well-composed portrait, Mike.
