About On Christmas eve, I decided to do some shooting out in Ohio's Amish Country. It was the biggest ice storm that I had ever seen and photographed. After a while, I noticed that something was missing, contrast and light. I was so wrapped up in the ice that I was paying no attention to the dull flat light. As I decided to call it quits for the day, I headed down one last dirt road (thank Chrysler for Jeeps) for pavement and a hint of sun came blasting thru threw the clouds. I jammed the brakes and started to shoot this scene pasted to the hillside. After shooting about 5 images, the sun disappeared behing the clouds and I just sat back in amazement of what just happened. Pure luck or a Christmas present to me?

Awsome photograph. I usually shoot 4 rolls of film and as I am leaving the photo site the sun begins looking just right. Nice

Very nicely done, Paul. A very nice Christmas present, I would say. Where exactly was this taken? Sugarcreek area?
