About I decided to re-upload what I consider to be my top 3 best photos for the new project. The one I chose previously was taken in August, but this one was taken in November and I consider it to be better than the one I originally submitted.

I like this one a lot. Very cool in B&W. Great job. Thanks too for your comment on Jen.

I really like the way the light from the sun and the welding really shine here. Good shot :)

Matt, I was using my LCD screen to take these shots, and the sun was so bright and right in my face, that I didn't notice the vice grip was in the shot until after the fact! LOL I did take quite a few others, I just thought the DOF worked nicely here and the vice grip made it more interesting. Here are a couple others without it in the shot

Matt, if you read the comments under the original you will find out why the vice grip is in the shot http://www.usefilm.com/image/615172.html Sorry I can't elaborate more right now, but I am on my way out the door. Thank you for commenting!

Melanie.
I'm pleased to come across this photo as I've been thinking about taking this shot myself. Did yo find it hard in any way? I see this was taken outdoors, mine would be inside so very dark conditions.
I think the flare is very powerful here, the choice of B&W looks good. I am unsure however as to why teh mole hrips & spade handle are interupting the shot? The detail in them is great but i'm not sure necessary for the main focal point.
