hey sarah, glad you like - when i convert i change to lab colour first, then i choose the lightness channel, change to grayscale and discard al the other channels. Then i use the curves to work on the contrasts - hope that helps. Let me know k! btw i actualy learned a lot from the december "digital photo" which specialised in b/w - might be worthwhile if you're interested:)

Another great shot! Another person commented about the eye. It is perfect. What an interesting angle and the reflection is just perfect. When you convert these to B&W are you using channels? i am trying to perfect my channels skills, so I am always curious.

I know how difficult it is to capture the eye like you did, you just need the right angle. What a shot... makes a 7 out of 7 for the technique!!
