You certainly are a brave young lady Marilyn wiggling your toe ;-) I remember a local Cypriot approaching a pelican on the island of Cyprus - it nearly ate him whole lol
Fabulous photograph, you really know how to approach these herons and have some great photos :-)
Best wishes, Steve

The things you'll do to get a shot - honestly. Fancy wagging your toe to entice him nearer. Mind you, to get a shot like this it was well worth it Marilyn. Fabulous close up. I think I'll stick to feeding them bread as Laura taught me. I'm not going to paint my toenails, for one thing I can't reach 'em. Den

Thanks Harry for your comments. I see what you mean about the blown part and on the original it is not there but when I uploaded it this is the outcome. Very hard not overexpose white birds but I keep trying. Marilyn

Oooohhh risky, I don't think I would like to be that close, even for a great shot and this is a great shot. Margaret

This small white egret came really close to you Marilyn. Very nice capture. Love the part of your toe in the frame. It shows perfectly how close it was to you. The image seems a little over exposed on my screen because the details in the feathers of the egret are a bit blown out in the top part of the body and the head. Nevertheless beautiful capture....Best regards, Harry
