About Everyone who has never been there is really missing something. Put on your hiking boots and go see this magnificent little slice of landscape. Best time is probably 5 to 6am during the week before everyone else has left too many footprints.

Very nice shot here. Stovepipe wells dunes? Maybe a bit overexposed but you really composed this shot well. Another one of my favorite spots.

I do not know what time and what season you took this picture, but IMHO the best time for taking pictures of any deserts or sand formation is during the first hour after the sunrise - the light is warm in lovely way and still not too strong so the contrast is acceptable
