About As part of a school project, I went back and retook a picture I had tried and posted about a year ago. Any and all thoughts, comments, etc. are greatly appreciated. (Can you guess what these "crosses" are?)

WOW! Racing crosses!

What a great angle, such a sensation of speed. I know this doesn't have much to do with the original intention of the photo, but it is the first impression it gave me.

Nice angle and perspective, together with dramatic lighting make this a very interesting shot.

Not sure, but I think these are stakes for holding wires to support some kind of creeper. Maybe vines?

Nice b&w work. Maybe could use a bit more contrast and some denser blacks.

Great angle, composition and light.
I can see the story.
All those grapes that turn to wine, then turn to drunks that turn to graveyards!!!!!
Would like to see some richer blacks in the shot though.

Dramatic! I love the intense lighting here and the tilt. Very nice work.

They look like the poles that hold up grapevines. Great catch and I like the starburst effect of the sun in the corner. Your horizon is a bit crooked but thats an easy fix in PS.

sarah! your back! good to see you again. i still remember the original, so it's a bit unfair for me to answer and spoil it ;^) however, the composition is very interesting although not quite as abstract as the original. i like the use of the flare as it accentuates the motion of the clouds. the original is much moodier and more apealing to me. my artsy side isn't developed enough to verbalize why it does, tho ;^)

being a technical kinda guy, tho, i can't help but noticed the blown clouds. simple overexposure or an effect of increased contrast? just curious....

anyhow, i'm glad you're back and hope you'll be sharing with us more often.

take care,
tom

Great shot here. I prefer this one to the old one. I love how you've made the vineyard look like a WWI graveyard!
