Im glad you think im going in the right direction Aris! =) The bird shot and some others are mostly to learn all aspects in photography.. still learn so much and has so much left to learn! =)
You are right about the frame.. i should have used a lighter one!
Take care mate! =)

I picked a photo randomly to tell you that i am very happy for you. Your perspective is wider and the themes are well chosen. Try to avoid pictures like the latest with birds that have nothing to do with your search for THE meaning. Also in my opinion the black border is not suitable for all kinds of photographs. This one for example tries to breathe but the black border says NO. Greetings from Athens, Aris.

great shot, patrick. I love the balance you've created & also how you've cropped right in on the factory - there's just no escaping all that it is & there's no where else to look but at it & what it's producing. Love the lines & tones. Really well done.

you know, the subject is not one that someone would normally want to capture.. but... the various buildings, different sizes and colors adds to the composition.. and as you say, the reflection is perfect.... excellent work...

Patrick This has to be one of my favourite shots to date. The whole mood and atmosphere re: the smoke and the greyness of the sky really work well. There probably are some little tweaks to be done here and there but I am really impressed with the whole image. The only problem I have is that I cant make the shot big enough on my screen to really appreciate the detail and that wonderful watery blue color.
Like it and well done my friend

I like how the reflection's sky is darker than the real one adding in some seperation of the two. Nice lines, you know I am a sucker for reflections~

I am excited to see this image. It is very colorful and sharp. Delightful! I live right by a major harbor and almost went down to shoot tonight after the rain stopped. There is a structure down there that is so much like this one...where the city's trash is burned. I will now have to go get a shot to put up to share with you. Another inspiration...thanks! T.

A stunning shot, perfect! I like it all the more for it being as seen. The absolutely straight on viewpoint, with vertical verticals, reinforces the 'industrial' force of the image.

I'm heavily involved in, and always fascinated with manufacturing. Often ridiculed as "dirty" and "dangerous"....it offers so much to an open, inquisitive mind. It is what provides the comforts that we all take for granted. This shot is interesting to me because of the contrast between the staight-on image...and the reflected image! Straight on offers the unfiltered, "in your face" visual that so many associate with "those damned polluting factories"....while the reflected view offers a more romantic fling with the smokey giant, which I prefer. Anyway....I love your vision, here! Much to be said about this shot, and your style. ...Brad
