Lightning is hard to capture but you nailed this shot. I agree with Darie about it having a surreal look but not because it's shot with digital. I think it is the scene and the different color of the lighting along with exposure time that gives it this appearance. Nice work. Jimmy

This is a great exposure, and I like the light at the edge, even though it leads my eye away from the scene. Very nice!

I did not imply it was altered. Just that digital sensors tend to bring out the shaddows to do an average lighting(kinda like exposing the shadows at a higher iso) and the shaddow detail is way better then even the eye can capture creating that "sureal" look I was talkin about. tho the picture is GREAT. Good Job!!

The different colors here are from two seperate lights in the yard. The one in the left edge casts a typically white tone, while one off to the left and behind me gives a sulphur glow. This is simply a time delay shot set at 30 second exposure. This picture has not been altered other than resized

Really nice flare effect and just great night photo. I strive to learn the secrets tho I find that taking the digitap pic is like cheating :P. the visibility becomes too day like even tho appears to be night making for a surreal look.
please comment on my pics
