Hi Debarshi.. thx for your appreciation ! I always use spotmetering around the center focuspoint, and i measure light on different points using AE lock. Works well in a lot of cases. Of course, in such a scene i take photos with different exposure values, and choose the best then afterwards.

Peter , when taking this shot, did you use center weighted , spot or matrix metering ?I want to know, which areas meter reading did you take while taking thi shot ? if you used spot ot center weighted metering.

Both of these are great shots, Peter. There is such variety in texture and feel to the clouds. I stared at this version for quite a long time and was constantly noticing new things about it. Great job.
