I got engaged, I bought my first (and second) house, I got a dog, I switched professions, got a new job, ect. ect. ect. It's what they all say..."I was busy". Today is actually my first day back on Usefilm; hopefully by next week I can have some new photos up! Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my portfolio!!

A great capture - spent a good couple of hours just sitting on the paving watching the scene around me....

John, The birds, or absence therof, is like the parting of the sea. The colonadded building is so visually appealing. And although I am generally not a fan of a blank / white sky, I think it works well here, as the upper left hand corner of the image goes completely white. I'm not sure if its an illusion created by the angle of the building, but the image appears slightly cockeyed to me. (Maybe its the effect of my long day at work.) Cheers, Mark

Fabulous, John. The composition is most appealing, as are the tone and subject. It's great how there's an empty space without birds in the foreground, and that they get more dense as the eye travels into the image, and then there is more negative space in the sky. It creates an engaging balance. T.
