Thanks for your comments. I added you as my friend because i saw many of the pictures that you have in your profile, which many are very very creative. Another reason is that I was stationed in Newport RI, as well as Quonset Point, South Boston, and Ft Devens, Mass. I love New England, lived in N Attleboro, travelled in Providence and Woonsocket, all the good places.
Lots of fond memories.
Thanks again. I need to get back out on the streets and get shooting!

Hi Walt...I think our styles and interests of photography overlap some what. Espically the sediment about being alone to capture things that are proceeding wothout any other interaction needed to capture them. IE: nature, cityscapes late at night, landscapes, etc. Love this kind of view showing the flowing traffic in front of a glowing city,

Love the sky, it's rare to get clouds to show on such an overcast night.

Seattle is often like that, with clouds above the skyscrapers. Every night is a great night, when one is out shooting. Sometimes, the building at the left is lit up like a Christmas tree.

I like the city light being reflected off the clouds. The taller building on the left doesnt look real. It's darker than the night and light is coming from it...That must have been a great night.

I find that doing night photography has it's own rewards; it just takes an extra effort to search and photograph them. I appreciate your remarks.

What makes this image, in my opinion, are the tones. The framing is nice and the shutter speed is right on, which is sometimes hard to do when shooting car trails. But the tones are beautiful! Especially in the cloud cover.

Impressive, and good timing. I like the fact that you still have some cloud cover lit up for the night shot.
I'd just suggest that you might have a 1.5 degree tilt clockwise. The shot is also a bit on the yellow side from the artificial light - you could balance it a touch. Or not. Truthfully I like the red and yellow as a mood, but I offer an alternative.
Overall really need capture.
