About I wasn't even trying for a portrait here. I was just looking to take a quick snap of my daughter. When I got it home, I l really liked the look and decided to do something with it.

My first portrait, as it turnes out.

This photo has been haunting me for several days now. You have a very beautiful daughter, Masrk and for a first portrait, it is very good, albeit somewhat too monochromatic on the cheeks to my taste, but I see that I am in a minority as far as that is concerned.
Thank you for you friendly comment on mt "Green lasmps".
Best regards,
Rafi

Oh, and I forgot to mention, (how stupid of me because I always look at it from a technical point of view) but a very beautiful daughter too.

Mark this a beautiful picture of your wife as I remember her. I think you have a clone. She is a beautiful lady. Nice work with the black and white. Have a great Thanksgiving. Don.

Thanks, Judi. I am finding again that sometimes the best pictures just happen when you don't expect them. I guess knowing my daughter like I do, I really felt that the picture captured her. The monochrome/color thing was an afterthought that turned out OK.

At least now I won't be reluctant to try some portraits.
