Oh Andre - this is an amazing depliction of the sun flower. Your blurring here is incredible - with just part of the flower in focus. You've left the road/field to the viewers imagination which is magical. Well done here.

It really was a very opportune capture for me. At the moment of the photo the wind was very strong and I used the manual focus of the lens, what it complicated a lot in this capture.......

It's so great image!!
That's way is in my favorites.
It's lovely the use of DOF!
At the contrary of most comments and critiques, I think that the shadow on the flower gives more depth of field and put the flowers in the right contest of the picture.
Infact, can you immage the flower without shadow, completely yellow???
Mmmm...
I think you will not feel the same emotions looking the pictures and it will be too much contrast between the background and the flower.
So,my best congratulation

Congrats on the award. Beautiful image, and quite unique. that shadow on the flower is perplexing to me. On the one hand I wish it weren't there, but on the other, it ties the flower in with the background...has an integrating effect in making this the piece of art that it is.

Oi, André, faz tempo que não ando por aqui.. lindas cores, boa composição.. mas deixe adivinhar
1. Estava ventando.. isto dificultou o foco no primeiro plano, não?
2. A sombra é tua... não da câmera.
Sabe o que faço com fotos assim.. em que gosto demais e o resultado não correspondeu? Uso um filtro de arte do photoshop... tem uma assim aqui e outras no meu portfolio do treklens..a foto vale!!

I think this photo is absolutely wonderful. I notice the shadow on the flower but I think this adds to the effect - only a small bit of light getting through. Shallow depth of field is one of my favourite photographic tools as it really emphasises the subject - I think you've used it to really good effect here.

OK, this is awesome! Except for one thing... I think you have a shadow of your lens on the flower. It really would be PERFECT if the whole flower was in light, or shadow. Otherwise I love it. And really, I love it anyway. :-)
