About They are actually a small version of the standard tomato. Really tasty, and fun to shoot.

Wonderful shot, heath. My wife grew a few of these little ones in a pot on the deck last year ? but the dog snatched them away whenever they were red enough.

I don't like tomatoes (whole), but this makes me hungry. Great shot with these as well.

Hi Heath

Looks very tasty! Good use of DOF, and a very nice composition.
I have in my portfolio (sub macro) a similar shot of red berry's.
Thanks for your nice comment.

Kind regards
Ellen

Selective focusing can be a very difficult thing, so when I shoot I try to get all the different angles and focus points so I can choose on screen later. Keep all the shots. With the price of DVD-Rs you can back up to them and 6 months down the track you may need a particular angle for something you never thought you would have needed.

Have a good one José

I think you should edit a book with all your photos or make your own internet site too. Excellent shot. What would be the best to focus on this kind of photo: the first tomato or the middle one. I can never know myself.

Ah okey I saw the yellow spots on the other tomatoes. Sure, would prefer honest pictures :)

Ha! I knew someone would see that! Very perceptive. It actually wasn't dust though, rather the defections in the skin of the tomato. If you think it looks like dust I guess that means I should clone it out. I like to keep my pictures as honest as possible however.
