About A deeply moving and challenging servic ethis morning. For the first time in ages I didn't have to play guitar so I was able to just stand back and sing with the congregation! The talk was a tough one to give but was very well received?

Having loaded up a pile of 'straight' images, I felt it was time to use one of my favourite, subtle painterly effects again. I hope you like the treatment. It doesn't change things hugely, but the print looks just a little more like a painting.

Thanks for you company.

Off to get my beloved from her mother's now!!

See you later I hope.

Best regards to all,

Chris

Terrific Chris. For me, the bit that gives that extra bit of class is the wakes form the swans and ducks. They add that little bit of colour to the bottom right corner. Fantastic image.

Hi Chris; a lovely scenic on what looks a pleasant afternoon. The painterly effect looks nice too-- it shows up more in the background than the fore. it would be interesting to see the print of this technique. Cheers. Craig

Your fall paint brush is doing very nice work. The swan really adds interest. Don.

Hi Chris, nice pic and you don't have to apologise for submitting something that you like :) After all that is what we are here for isn't it. I think you have done a good job and you have to look carefully around the edges of the trees where they meet the sky to see the effect. It gives a nice 3D effect, nice work indeed. With reference to your comments on "Night shift" - i don't work for the railways. It's just not far from home and gave me the opportunity to test the remote. Have you tried any yet with the D70? best wishes Neil

Chris this is why I haven't uploaded much:
I have had a bit of a problem here at home, seems My wife hired a guy to remodel our downstairs bathroom so I didn't have to. He didn't do anything right. I now have to do it myself. I have to correct EVERTHING he did. its taking me longer than if I did it myself from the git go. So I don't have much time for loading, shooting etc.

Hi friend )
"Beauty" is the word, Merete!
Incredible beauty!
You would hardly have believed it was November!
My one slight sadness was that Carole wasn't with me to enjoy it ~ she had to work that morning!! Well, actually, so did I, bit I made up for it later! )
I hope you've had a restful morning?

Great beauty here. Regardless of paiterlly or not. I can see my self siting here and just watching the swans swim about. Very nicely done as you always do.
