Unfortunately, this kind of shot seems out of the realm of digital cameras without heavy post processing. I am referring in this photograph to the white shirt with the black tie/jacket, which I find trips up most sensors. I am estimating I would have to go down about 3 stops to get the whites, which would ultimately leave me with a noisy jacket, devoid of the subtle black toning of your picture.
