There was some luck here... I was shooting with a wide aperture with a big fill lamp over my left shoulder, when the flash from a tourists mini-digit bounced into my shot. There were shots from the series without the right hand side blue-ish flash (obviously), but I liked the effect it gave, completely unplanned.

I would love to lie and say yes - but I was taking shots the whole time. I got my brother to go up and dance with them though! They were more beautiful in the flesh also of course :)

The focus was on the entire front girl José. The reason why only her face is super sharp, as you are aware of the nature of this section of the Sega dance, the body does all the movement while the face stays relitively still. With low light, using a low aperture (f-2) and still having to use a reasonably slow shutter speed, the blur will occur. I could have increased the ISO but I liked the movement the blur caused.
