Very beautiful composition, Rebecca. I love the perspective you gave this shot by having the large tree dominate such a lovely scene.

The graceful limbs on this tree look like arms to me, reaching outward to shelter and protect the final resting places of these soldiers. The grave markers march off, appropriately, in perfect military order, and the subdued contrast and muted tones give an air of solemnity and respect. Very nicely captured!

What a wonderful old one-eyed tree. The overcast sky is perfect for the mood and for the color too. A perfect Halloween scene

I like how the tree is the focus rather than the fall colors. The colors become just a backdrop. Good work!

Ok, now that tree is spectacular. It is wicked awesome, wicked spooky. It is more than alive. It is sinister with its spindly limbs. It's dark while the leaves are a soft misty yellow falling on a velvet carpet of green. I can see why you are drawn to this tree, Poe.

What a wonderfull image for this time of the year. The two knot holes/limbs that were trimmed off look so muck like eyes, and the branches as arms...you get my drift. No wonder cemetaries scrare most people. Well seen. I love the weight of the tree as it relates to the composition. simply great. JB

Ohh... Civil War? These are mostly veterans who died after the war? Do a scan fer me, please? Check the dates. Anything after 1865 is "Dead After the War Ended", that would mean they made it home safely. When ya have time, just walk and take a peek...are most of them post 1865?
