No, people actually lived inside, the house next door is a shop. I actually took this shot for an assignment in my study architecture. The assignment was about the private use of public space or vice versa. In small towns the use of the public space is much more accepted then in big cities, and this was a small town. The owners of this house took the sidewalk as their private outdoor space.

Very interesting Marco .... Do you think people live inside, or is this a place of bussiness ? This is a very good journalism image !! It's fun to see how the world lives and even if they are smalll differences to view them and share them.
