It's really like a painting! I've been often enough in the French Alps, but never saw moody clouds like this; was it somewhere during fall you took this picture?

You had to be there on a clear day. I've been there so many times and never really got such a clear day. Thanks for your comments. I will try to use a tripod and take some more photos of the snow like Gervais. Winter coming we should be getting some good ones. take care

A colour correct crop (WB settings to warm I just realised).
The vantage point was on the Chamonix side of Mont-Blanc, and the exposure was helped by a perfect day and a good tripod!

Beautiful pic. I like the sky and the mountains. What was your vantage point? I've been in the Swiss Alps, but never in the French Alps.
