About Although I hate people dumping rubbish this chair seems to have been carefully placed for the view. The 'view' is Katiki Beach between Shag Point and Moeraki Point, New Zealand.

Cropping down just a little bit to include a tad more foreground, would have made this perfect, imho. I love those gorgeous colours. And the chair definetly gives it another dimension.

i so have hoped to find a place like this for this week end so it's hard for me to see further into this particular images other than to really feel being there in this wonderful place .. - ... anyway as i looked through many of your images again i remember the impact they had on me when i first saw them - rich, strong, emotional content weaved into the fabric of these images .. you have a great eye and great sense of light as well .. you have a great sense of the moment and more .. (and thank you, i'm honored to hear from you .. ) js

Hi John, thanks a million for visiting my dad! I was thrilled to read you had actually done that! It means a lot to me...you can't know how much and i really appreciate it.
I left TVNZ in 1985 when i came over to Switzerland, i now work for Swiss TV. Be great if we knew some of the same people. I'm sure most of them there will know me! I actually have a Feltex award sitting here right in front of me for a film i worked on with Ian Taylor that did really well "2 Days to soft rock cafe", do you know it?
Anyway once again thanks and i will always treasure what you did for me. Your friend, Neil

John, Don't think I've ever seen an upholstered chair on a beach - really makes this an unusual spot. Glad you got some use of someone else's discarded rubbish. Great shot. -- Debby

Thanks for the comment Paolo. Not for my photo but that it took me back to your images and that marvelous photograph of Anna. One of the most truthful I have seen in a long time. Regards John

Pull up a chair, John! Great lighting here makes this old seat pop. Very well done, as is your usual.
Thanks for commenting on my Missing. Your images are not showing up among my "Friends'Images" though you are and have long been on my list. Your comment sent me to your portfolio to look.

Had to go back to this - because of it?s beaty and vibrant colours and extremly perfection in composition.

How interesting! I've been noticing chairs placed in odd places recently--took one such photo this very morning. For my taste the distant scene is just a little too soft. I can see the effect you wanted--stereoscopic resolution of foreground--but feel it's ever so slightly overdone... More like Gaussian blurring than genuine out-of-focus, particularly at upper left. The D70 seems to be working well for you!

Hi John,
Dramatic sunlight you have overthere, almost a surrealistic painting.
Would love to sit there for a while.
So it's a great shot, very well composed.

foreshore. What a pity to have to give it all away !
