Thanks Trish, they'll always be our baby boys, huh? I love this look in his eyes. I'm glad I have this preserved for the teen years . . . to remember how sweet he was! Just in case!

Thanks Amanda, I wondered if this was too "pretty" for a boy's portrait! I like it cause I"m his mom, but probably should save this effect for the girlies!

this is beautiful. ohhhh I know that feeling of the baby face and growing up. I love to look at photos of my son when he was in kindergarten. that was the last time he had that baby face. :( he's still my baby of course even now at 9.

A precious portrait, indeed, Dale Ann! The composition and colors are superb. The eyes are in sharp focus and are beautifully lit, they look straight into the viewer's eyes and the viewer likes what he sees. The lighting brings out the beautiful tones in your son's red hair - nice placement of lights. The sweater complements the skin tones and just has enough detail to contrast against the smooth skin without distracting the viewer. The choice of a black background is excellent. But most of all, the expression on your child's face is most precious and you have succeeded in preserving beautifully it for many others to see. Congratulations! I love this portrait very much.
Thank you for looking at my pictures and for all your comments on them. It makes me feel good to know that another photographer likes them, most especially one that does excellent work.
