I really enjoy taking pictures like this. My next photo mission will be in the industrial area of Cleveland and maybe Detroit. If I use a polarizer and a red filter, it does a lot for the contrast. Cleveland and Detroit have industrial areas that are covered in graffiti and rising smoke.

I really like the dark, haunting industrial city look here. you combine several interesting building to an interesting cityscape composing. sky and lighting fits very well. I would love to see this picture with a bit more wide angle though... the cropping on the upper area is a bit harsh so I have the feeling that something's missing.
