About Mt. St Helens October 10th Yes... I went back for more, It snowed the night before, and as announced today, the magna (lave) has broken through slowly (unlike Hawaii the lava here is colder so it is slow and they can only see it glow at night). If there is any obstructions with the bulk of the magna, it could result in a large explosion (approx. 75,000 feet)

I am from Portland, and I am going up there on Sunday to hopefully get a shot of an eruption :)

Do you suggest any particular section of the area for a good view?

Beautiful shot but scary. I would love to see a shot taken at night.

Beautiful shot for what could become so ugly. The color and composition are perfect for this kind of shot. If you hadn't mentioned it in your notes, I'd have never guess this was Mt. St. Helens. I'm glad I'm on the east coast. This is too scary.
