i had to come and see this image, James. The Bahamas is a magnificent and often under-appreciated place. You seem to have seen the non-touristed areas or at minimum decided to focus on something other than the pink sands and glitzy hotels. Wonderful composition.
I believe that the scene would have been improved if the composition was not divided in two parts. The sky does not offer much and in contrast, it seems that all the emphasis and interest is lying in the land. (For example, I 'd suggest to try cropping off most the sky, presenting it as about 1/3 of the whole composition, and assess the new impact. This way, after all, the picture would escape a certain conventional look and acquire more interest). Best regards
