Great Pano Michael. You did a great job with the saturation, it doesnt look too forced or fake. Almost what you may get with some Fuji slide film. On my visit there the lighting was horrible and due to a mostly overcast sky the colors were muted. You were blessed with a great vantage point with good lines being formed by the subtle hills of the foreground, the natural angle of the dunes and the formation of the clouds above them. It does seem to be a little off balance with the right side of the comp being a little heavier. But the strong saturation of the blue sky works to help balance it out some. For some reason this reminds me of the poppy field scene from Wizard of Oz.
Amazing panoramic work, I love the contrast between the cloudy sky on the right and the calm one on the left. I also like the frame which added contrast and balanced the wide image.
I'm actually catching up, not travelling. The Teton panoramic had me slowed down, and since I am a relative new member I have a long list of stuff I can dig into and post. What you are seeing is my last winter vacation in California, Memorial weekend in Colorado, summer vacation in Idaho and Wyoming, and finally Labor day. Whew!
The next big push will be a winter vacation.
Until then I'm going to post what I can find that I think is interesting, then back off for a while.
I'd like your opinion on the Teton panoramic, if you can swing it. I think you'll find that you influenced the direction I took. Thanks man.
