Another mushroom-person!
I find fungi photographically fascinating.
I've taken a number of mushrooms from similar angles but would never have thought to crop it in such a way.

This is a great shot, Alison! I love the way you shot it edge-on giving the whole shot a layered look from top to bottom (and complementing the layers of the vertical gills!) The light glowing through the mushroom really shows how alive it is - it looks like skin!
