Dear Francesca,
Nice shot, when you shot the water at the evening time or early in the morning, colors are seen as orange-red becuase of the much salt mixed with dirt in the water.

Laurence thanks for your comment, above all for the signal of the Web site. What you say is true: that the salt is source of wealth for fews and pain source for many. Of the rest as many manual jobs. This sense of drammaticitŕ of a few manual jobs a Po of years ago was represented very well by Salgado through the immagini of a show which has done the turn of the world.

I have just purchased a couple of prints by Alastair McNaughton (http://www.theartichoke.org/) which shows and raises money to alleviate the struggles suffered of those in Asia... in the SALT trade.
NaCl3 is one of the earliest commodities traded and transported... it was a source of wealth for many... and the cause of suffering for others.
An excellent documentary capture!

hai ben composto un immagine che si presta per essere ammirata in ogni bel particolare che si porta dentro..ottini i colori e incisivi dal punto di vista ottico quei cocuzzoli di sale...il momento di lavoro č perfettamente ripreso e da' un senso di moto ,rendendo viva l'immagine,bravissima francy..sei forte..un bacione

P.S. when you the dimension (to small image) you loose sharpness on the image ... at least use a bit of unsharp mask...regards
