the curce is indeed very fascinating. they seem to follow each other from the light part to the dark area ;-)

It's a great composition. In additiion to the curve you mention, we see each duck in a different view--front, three-quarters, and profile. The colors and textures are unusually well rendered, too. The water has the quality of rippled glass. Very nice!
