Kurt, now you ARE being brave. That makes me proud, as you will no doubt read in another comment on that image. So......thankyou.

In response to your question, yes we do have steakhouses. In the outback, (where I am basically located), we have pubs/clubs where the main menu always includes dishes of that kind. Whilst on the coast, yes there are definitely steakhouses. I think one of the most popular dishes is the reef and beef.

Hope that helps. If you don't mind me asking, where are you located?

LOL, I suppose that WAS a way of saying that. I'll return to that one and post my comment soon!
As far as the BBQ smoke, I'd reccomend that for an OUTDOOR shot only! ; ) Actually BBQ would probably sound good if it weren't 6:30 am here...

Off topic, but I have to ask: do they have "Outback Steak House" restaraunts in Australia? It's one of our favorites here but I always wonder if the food is really authentic 'down under'. Just curious. Kurt

Kurt, you had me laughing so hard after reading your comment. Is that a polite way of saying you have viewed the image "Dare to be Different" but didn't leave a comment. I really like your style and would love to see your photo of the smokey chess set. I think that would be awesome. I can picture what you are trying to achieve. I wonder if a BBQ fire would put off enough heavy smoke to achieve that. Hmmm... I will keep thinking about that one for you.

Hi Judi. Thank you for your kind words about my photo "Your Move". Looking through your portfolio I came across this one which I really like. It appears to me that we are both photographing identical chess sets. They say great minds think alike. . . lol ; )
I think it's cool that two people half a world apart are using the same props to convey an artistic message! (I used the glass board from this set in my photo 'Rose #1')
I've also tried using a fog machine to create a smokey atmosphere but so far it's just made it look like something is wrong with the exposure. If I get a chance I'll send an example.
Your images show that you have great imagination and good technical skills and you're not afraid to 'dare to be different'. Best wishes, Kurt

Thankyou Zeev. I really wanted to do something other than the norm in the Chess Set style photos. Hopefully that is what I have achieved here. Judi

Thanks SD. I placed some red cellophane over a table lamp and directed it over the Chess set. While you couldn't see the full effect with the naked eye, through the viewfinder with the correct settings you could see the result. Judi
