Fantastic shot Gayle. One keeps wondering what's going on behind the window.

I think I prefer the sepia one, but only marginally. this gives a completely different feel, a more passionate idea because of the red window, whilst the other is softer and more romantic and nostalgic, as sepia would be of course

Soft and warm, feelings of camraderie, a gathering of friends, an evening in, for chit chat and reminiscing.

Hi Gayle,
I like the way you really "worked" this subject, trying out different techniques. The composition is great, with the contrast of the stucco texture and the smooth window frame and glass. I like all 3 versions, but this one is my favorite. It's the large expanse of neutral wall and black frame with the realtively small area of hot red, orange and yellow inside the frame that especially appeals to me.

Best regards,
SteveR

Dear Gayle,

I like this one most as it's just mildly reworked and therefore (at least for me) leave the most space for imagination. like the orange color, seems to radiate warmth that I need at the moment =)
Take care,
thilo

They have said it all before me. I'm not sure which one I like best..but I think this one. One can place many thoughts and emotions in an open fire, burning them, turning them to ashes to blow away into the cold dark night. This is the window to freedom.

The shapes and the colors both contribute to a very strong and satisfying abstract structure, letting people supply whatever content they want. Shamelessly brilliant.

And inside are people, friends. Sitting and laughing about things the outside world will never understand. A close knit collection of limited numbers who understand life and death and humor and just nodding knowingly. Colors well balanced. Contrast nice. Thought inspiring bit... well received.
