Great details for this image. It seems a lyric in picture: drop. Very small, sudden fall.
I'm walking around your portfolio, I think you have a new fan.

This is a very great idea, the only thing wich distracts this "soft" drop and therefore the very fragile story is the black and very dominant frame - I would also try to convert this picture to more neutral B&W tones - at the moment it transports a "brown waterdrop" - so dirty water is a problem for every person - i must confess i'm not shure whether im right or not - but this is one of my crazy thoughts :)
Anyway - especially for the idea, this picture must be rated with 6 points minimum :)
cheers
Christian

Oh, I SO love this concept, Arwa! You did SO well with the high contrast and dramatic lighting drawing the eye first to the drop, and THEN to the text 'drop'.
SUCCESS!

Dear Arwa,
I testet the 105mm from Nikon, but wasn't too satisfied with the results. Macro shots are a really interesting part of photography, but I will probably stay with my other subjects for a while.
thanks for the information! take care, thilo

I've never ever turned an image into blue tones!! maybe because im more used to sepia, but what u did looks really good the aqua color is more appropriate to the drop isn?t it! Its more soothing and its much cooler Thanx hugo :)

hi Thilo thank you so much for your comment and constructive critique I never noticed that the drop was so close to being centered thanx again :) About the 60mm macro, it?s a good lens im really satisfied with most of my flora images, but when I started to take small insects pics I couldn?t get too close to get all the details, I was thinking of getting the 105mm but I don?t know if theres a big difference between the two lenses Do u have any macro lenses?

Hi Arwa, The lighting is superb, refracting through the (very appropriately placed) drop. Also, excellent use of DOF. I'm not sure I find the brownish tone very fitting to this image. I think a more cool (blue) tone would've added to the crispness and brightness of this image. I'm not sure what you had in mind, and if this is a deliberate choice, and it all comes down to a matter of opinion, but I took the liberty of adjusting the tone, see attached image, what do you think?
Cheers,
Hugo

Dear Arwa,
fanatastic macro composing. like the DOF experiment a lot, and the toning plus the shadow make this image. the rework is well executed, intensifies the clarity a lot. minor thing: I would love to see the drop a tad more off-centered =) are you satisfied with the 60mm lens?
take care, thilo
