Jim, I know what you mean. I spent the first night there on the west side and awoke to a coating of ash on my tent. It was upsetting.... but at the same time it's something that's a natural process for the forest to be "healthy".
the bears were on edge, though... caused a bit of a challenge for some of the rangers and people.

Thanks for your comment John. I plan on working with the color saturation a bit to bring out more of the trees. Unfortunately, the smoke creates a major obstacle...

My favorite national park. Those fires made me sad. I want to go back as soon as I can. I was there the year before the fires. Such an amazing place.
