I also agree with John. I think that makes this photo even more powerful though. Not that I like to see animals sad, just that this is a great expression of what we do wrong to satisfy our own desires to see wildlife up close. (not a knock on the photographer, I mean people in general)The photo is technically very good, and to capture an expression on an animal (even a sad one) is good photography.
On the other hand, there are many animals that would be extinct if it were not for the ones left that are in captivity. (but then the argument becomes that most would not be threatened without man being involved...and one the debate rages...)

A sad fact of life that the only place these magnificant animals are safe is in a cage. The look in the Tiger's eyes is almost pleading. Regards John
