Dear Gayle,
the overall soft looks creates a very nice mood. great that you just leave the colors to the flower itself. the part on the left seems to be a fence... in fact, judging from the thumbnail, I thought this is a flower hanging in a fence. the only minor thing for me is the relatively sharp knot on the right that distracts me a bit.
anyway, good rework.

Hi Gayle, i love the expression "floats to your boat" - never heard that one before! Yes, this one certainly does! Lovely. I too have the wish to get more "arty" but it's hard to break out of ones own confinements. Looking forward to seeing some more like this!
